Reasons to Learn Vietnamese
1.-For the first time in its 4,000-year history of nation-building and defense, Vietnam, as a country, possesses both a spoken and written language that are relatively complete. This enables Vietnam to express its ideas and spirit, enhancing the country’s independence and strength.
2.- Vietnamese (both spoken and written) is relatively simple, even when compared to English, the most commonly used language in international relations. In English, there is a growing trend of “monosyllabification” to facilitate quick understanding. Vietnamese, being entirely monosyllabic, inherently aligns with this trend. Mastery of Vietnamese requires standardization of the sound frequency for each accent and word, aiding its spread and accessibility.
3.- The Vietnamese national script, Chữ Quốc Ngữ, offers significant advantages, particularly in reducing the time required to learn reading and writing. For instance, children in kindergarten can achieve literacy in about a year and a half, compared to the 5–6 years typically required for Chinese or Japanese.
